Back Pain

Back Pain

We all know someone, or unfortunately experienced it ourselves… back/neck and shoulder pain.  I did mine running late for work (go figure) and tripped up the stairs, the next 6 months of pain were the worst of my life.  Whether it be chronic or acute, a sprain or a strain, a pull or a tear, it would be safe to assume that almost everyone has experienced some degree of muscle or joint pain in their life, it can cause life-altering pain, lasting, days, months or even years.

Conventional pain-relief medication can seem to leave the real problem untouched and move your body further out of whack. A scary fact, with nearly 50,000 people dying from opioid and heroin pain relievers in 2014 in the USA while in Australia 80% of overdose deaths involve prescription pharmaceuticals.

When it comes to back pain, it is not easy to pinpoint a clear diagnosis but one can be assured that applying magnesium transdermally (via the skin) could help tremendously and offer hope that you could one day be pain free, or at least have it relieved, feel like you are back to yourself again.

Many symptoms people experience with back pain are very similar to those with Magnesium deficiency.  By no means will this always be the cause but we do know that topical Magnesium may often be very effective at alleviating those same symptoms.

Magnesium has a calming effect on the nervous system so it can be used quite effectively to help calm irritated and over-excited nerves. Magnesium penetrates into the source of the pain bringing healing and relief, as it has anti-inflammatory properties, it can reduce the inflammation caused at the joints and eases the pain, soreness and redness around the joint. In addition to this, Magnesium also regulates the calcium levels in the body which helps in maintain bone and muscle & joint health.

Calcium and magnesium have a special complementary partnership in the body. Specifically with muscles, calcium causes muscles to contract and magnesium causes them to relax. If there is too much calcium in your body or not enough magnesium to balance out the calcium your muscles cannot relax, they stay contracted or cramped. These contracted muscles - or spasms or knots - are one of the major sources of back pain.

We have had such incredible feedback with those finding back pain relief, from hard working tradies, teachers, gym instructors, office workers and many more, we would love for you to give it a try, even if it reduces one of your symptoms it’s worth it!!

We suggest you start with the smallest introductory combination of Mg12 MagneSports Oil and Balm and apply to the affected area at least 2/3 times a day (massage in oil first, then after a few minutes, apply the balm).  Our Magnesium Bath Salts are also a great way to top up your Magnesium levels. Remember it takes time for the body to build its Magnesium levels to optimal, so daily application is advisable.

A great testimony on how Mg12 has helped Claudio Battaglini, Exercise Physiology Associate Professor, UNC with his back pain

When I was introduce to the Mg12 products I was amazed how quickly they would help alleviate my muscle and joint aches. One of my colleagues who was also able to experiment the products on his back cancelled a doctor's appointment he had originally made because the Mg12 significantly improved his back pain and he was able to return to the gym to resume his exercise routines. I can not tell how many times I have resorted to the Mg12 products since I was introduced to them approximately 6 months ago...I highly recommend them to all who needs relief from muscle or joint pain (athletes and non athletes) or simply those who want an excellent way to alleviate muscle tension and stress we commonly develop throughout our every day lives. If you are wondering if you should buy these products, without any hesitation I absolutely recommend these products for you. — Claudio Battaglini, Exercise Physiology Associate Professor, UNC
